This week Nana caught us a frog! We played for him for a day and then let him go. We named him Fred.

We also celebrated 10 years of marital bliss! We hit Flemmings again and shopping at the Gateway. It's starting to be an "Anniversary Tradition". It was just nice to be together and ALONE for a few hours! Besides, who couldn't love this face? :)

William John Johnson arrived April 7th at 2:30 a.m. Weighing in at 8 lbs. 10.5 oz. and 22.5" long. What a big baby boy we have! We simply adore him!

Every morning when my Trav leaves to work he finds my head and kisses me on the forehead while I'm dreaming sweet dreams. When we had Jessie he started giving me 2 kisses, one for me and one for Jessie. As our family grows he kisses me and then one time for each child, including this little dude stuck in my huge belly! Thats 4 forehead kisses. Today I didn't get them because I had a pillow over my head. When I do this he doesn't want to wake me so he skips out on the kisses. I always remind him that I missed them! They're a MUST HAVE!

I'm in those last weeks. You know the ones. Any and every slight pain you feel you check the clock in hopes of having to start timing those contractions! Well, between all my clock watching I've been making sure that I have everything I need. That the items I use daily are stocked and that the items that I will be using are ready to go.

In the next few days I will be posting my "must haves"! Whether it is baby/pregnancy related or not, these are the things I can't do without!

Must Have #1

Okay, I made sure I knew where this baby was MONTHS ago! Some people wear the tightest pants they can find, others strap on and cinch a tight belt, not me. I wrap this bad boy around my hips and waist those first few weeks after I deliver. And I wrap her tight.

The myth: That your hips that have spread beyond belief are still soft and with some tight wrapping it helps them go back to normal.

Does it really work?: Heck if I know. But I don't dare not try. I've done it after delivering both my girls and I will strap this baby on once again!

What am I going to do with these two little nuggets? I just love them to pieces! Their world is about to change with one more on the way and I just might go CrAzY!!!

Here are my daily thoughts:

1. Could my thighs get any bigger? I think not!

2. Will Reese throw the biggest tantrums ever when her brother comes? Most certainly!

3. To bunk bed the girls or trundle them and when?

4. I'm NOT ready for my girls to share a room. NOT ready!

5. I wish the toy room would magically transform itself the way I envision it. I don't have the energy.

7. Could the same fairy who does my toy room mop my floors as well? My back is shot!

8. Is it possible to get this pregnancy weight off in time for July Hawaii trip?

9. I just adore my Jessie right now. Can't believe she will be headed to Kindergarten!

11. Baby ultrasound says he's big. LOVE big babies! Moved due date to end of March!

12. I need to take the bottle away from Reese this month. Can't believe I still have her on that.

13. There are 4 gallons of ice cream in my freezer that is suppose to be for a primary activity but it's calling my name. They won't know will they? (hence the big thighs....frown).

14. I swear I wear the same thing every day.

15. The hospital just changed the rules and my girls will get to come see their brother there.

16. This is it for us. Don't you think Trav should be the one to get "fixed"?

17. They just made Trav the YM Pres. AGAIN! I hate getting us all ready for church in the morning while he's at meetings!

18. I'm ready for the sun to shine on my deformed toes in my flip flops. I still need to post about my toes. They really are awful! don't stare!

19. If I get stretch marks in these last few weeks, this baby is in HUGE trouble.

20. I think Tiger should show up for the Masters. You know, just for kicks!

21. Oh, and is it just me or has the Kardashian mom had too much plastic surgery?

Why? Why your butt AND thighs? I understand the belly, kinda like it. But REALLY, must the other things go as well?

Didn't my body just do this? Why yes, yes it did!

I swear I was never this tired before. Not this early. Is something wrong with me? I could sleep ALL day EVERY day.

I just ate. I'm talking I just ate a ton. I could keep going. I honestly have to make myself stop.

UGGGHHH the maternity clothes! I so don't want to buy new ones. There is no possible way that my maternity clothes from Jessie are going to fly. They weren't cute then, they're not cute now. I HATE spending money on maternity clothes..HATE IT...HATE IT I SAY!

Do you think it's a boy? What would we do? We've never had a boy before. We would have to buy cars, trucks, dinosaurs.

NO WAY is it a boy. We only have girls.

What will we name her? I'm only thinking of "J" names. What if we name her a "J" name? Then Reese would feel left out, we don't want that. Oh, she wouldn't care. Or would she?

What if they still won't let kids come to the hospital come delivery time? I think it will crush me to not have them come meet their new bro/sis at the hospital. We won't have that hospital picture all scrunched together on my hospital bed. I would like the quiet though, quiet is nice.

For SURE it's a girl.

Arthritis is doing better. What if it went away FoReVeR? Oh, what a glorious thing that would be. Maybe I can think it away.

I can feel the baby move. I always love that.

oooohhhh, I still don't feel 100%. When will the nausea be gone for good? I'm really missing my PB&J's.

What will I do while Trav is hunting? FOR A WEEK! I might die of exhaustion. Something IS wrong with me. I'm just soooo tired.

I love the baby stage. So cute. So little. So innocent.

Oh, if it's a girl she could wear those darling booties Peggy made me. Love those. hmmmm where are those?

Who is going to share a room? Jessica/Reese? Reese/baby? Jessica/baby? Baby/us?

2 kids in cribs? I WILL not buy another crib. 2 kids in diapers. I WILL be buying tons of diapers.

Is this really it? Is our family really going to be complete? I think it just might. It feels good. Really good. Exciting good. Next chapter of our lives good.

I am FINALLY starting to feel MUCH better! But while I was under the weather

the kids did a bunch of this: Picking fresh fruit off our peach, apple and pear trees, along with bowls of berries...mmmm.

And our little Jessie does not dress up as much as she

use to, but she still finds a way to put

together some fabulous numbers!

We've also been doing anything and everything Halloween. Our yearly Halloween scavenger hunt at Gardner Village was a huge success as always!

And our cute niece was able to dance in "Thriller" this year and although my husband is NOT a fan of Halloween, I was able to get him to come along and cheer her on!

I've always been the mom who had to take her little girl by the hand and walk her into preschool. All the other kids seemed to race out of their cars as if they couldn't wait to leave their parents. Oh how I wished my little Jessie would do that. Why did she need me to walk her in EVERY time? Well, my day has come.

Last Tuesday on the way to preschool she told me she wanted to walk in "ALL BY MYSELF". Of course I was so excited and proud of her! But as she gave me a kiss and ran up the driveway my heart sunk! When did she get so big!?!

4 1/2 years ago I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Basically my immune system thinks the tissue around my joints is a disease and is constantly attacking them. Lovely! Let's just say I have to get pretty creative at doing the everyday tasks.

Last night I couldn't straighten my left middle finger. I slept with it like this ALL NIGHT LONG!
But don't cry for me Argentina. Membership has it's privileges! I was able to do the "rock on" sign!
And since my middle finger on my right hand wouldn't bend, it made for a mean game of "paper rock scissors"!
Some of my top reasons on why having RA can be cool!

1. I'm pretty sure I qualify for a handicap sticker for my car. hmmmm..I still need to look into that!
2. My husband gets to scrub the tub.
3. People carry things for me.
4. If Reese wakes up in the middle of the night Trav changes her and brings her to me! Love you babe!
5. People always offer me the most comfortable seat for my tush!
6. I never have to open my own water bottle. I'm kind of like a celebrity!
7. I can squeeze shampoo out of the bottle with my hip and the shower wall. (Letterman keeps wanting me to come but I just don't think it's appropriate!)
8. If I can't stand up on my own, someone will pick me up....thanks again babe!
9. Old arthritic people dig me!
10. It's taught me patience...kind of!

So today I got a call from my good friend Shelley telling me the deal of a lifetime! This castle that cost me $200 smackers a month or so ago. Got it on a HOT DEAL at walmart.com this morning for only $35.00

That's right folks, I paid a whopping $200 for it! Crazy what we do for Christmas! Anyway, I NEVER thought I would say this but THANK YOU WALMART!!!!!!!!

What a horrible mom I am because I didn't take one picture of her being Tinkerbell, maybe because she's usually her once a day at some point! Shelley's sweet hubby surprised her today with all us gals and a trip out for a much deserved pedi!!! She's due with baby #4 in a few weeks and we can't wait to see the little cutie! With Shell as her momma, she has no choice but to be beautiful!

Nothing better than a afternoon out with high school chums. I love these girls!!! We have the best time together and could chat it up and laugh for days!! Aren't they all so pretty?! Anywho, Shelley's man had one last surprise for her, tickets for Kelly Clarkson and Reba tonight. Guess who gets to be her "side-kick"...ME! Thanks Ryan for getting the gals together. SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!

How brave am I?

So I went in Wednesday for what was suppose to be an "in and out" surgery. Dr. was going to remove (drain) a cyst from my bellybutton. As I was waking up I heard someone say, "Jill, we had to open you up, you'll be here for a few days!" Long story short, had to open me up and remove a cyst about the size of a grapefruit. This recovery is awful but I did love being put out! Too silly! I'm so glad to have a wonderful husband who stepped up to the plate and played Mr. Mom for a few days!!!

A Welcome Change

Jessie is my "princess"! She loves everything about them. You could say she is obsessed! Lately we've had modesty issues. It's amazing that a 3 year old can be so consumed about what is modest and what isn't. The other day while we were sitting outside she said, "mom, why do we have to be modest?" I went on to tell her that we need to cover our body and that it makes me and Heavenly Father happy. She nodded in agreement and then went on to say. "Mom, I'm going to be modest, I'm going to make Santa happy!" Boy, whoever it takes I'll tell ya!

This past week a welcome change has come into our home. Pollyana! Do you remember this fun show? I loved it growing up. Nana checked it out at the library for her a week ago and she is loving it. Finally, something for her to watch that I don't need to worry about what half naked fashion statement she is going to make out of it. Here she is in what she calls her "Pollyana" outfit ( I think mostly because of the yellow ribbon) watching the movie and helping me make a yummy treat!

My life right now in a nutshell!

What?: been without dairy (milk, eggs, soy, butter) for 5 days now. Dying for a bowl of cereal and ice cream. Oh, and apple crisp topping. Oh, and chocolate..the list goes on!

Why?: Reese has blood in her poop.

Why?: Has breast milk colitis!

What?: A reaction to the protein found in cows milk.

What to do?: Have to give up dairy or switch to a special formula $$$$$$

What else?: Getting a giant cyst taken out in a couple of weeks.

Why?: Because it's huge and it's a cyst!

Scared?: Heavens yes! Never been put out before.

More?: Arthritis is kicking my can.

Still have a DARLING family?: Absolutely YES!

I love fall! Who doesn't love wearing sweaters and putting pumpkins on their doorstep?! When this cooler weather starts to come I can't help but make one of my favs....apple crisp. Give this recipe a try. I actually double it because it's so scrumptious and I can't help but eat half of it before I actually bake it. Heck, let's be honest, sometimes it doesn't get baked at all because we devour it! I like to make loads of it and stick it in the freezer and eat it right out of the freezer bag. I'm starting to salivate just thinking about it. Okay, here it is.

APPLE CRISP
2 cups brown sugar
1 1/3 cups flour
1 1/3 cups oatmeal (the quick oats kind)
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
16 tablespoons of butter (I know, I know, don't think about it, just do it)

sprinkle over apples, peaches, whatever and bake for 30 minutes at 350

Oh yes, another thing I like to do with it is put some in a bowl, microwave it and plop some ice cream on.

On a side note: Is it bad when your 3 year old skips to time out?

Don't you love the "sayings" your kids pick up from you? The other night at the dinner table the adults were talking, I don't remember what about, but Jessie shook her head and said "HONESTLY"! I guess I say that and it's something she's picked up on. She's really starting to talk to Reese the way we do. The other day I could hear her in the other room saying, "hello my dear" and "dos you gots a full tummy?" SO CUTE! Although, I do remember a time when I was trying to paint her toes quickly before church and spilling the polish on the carpet and saying "Oh H*$#!" and she muttered that right back to me! GASP! Since then we really have to be careful about what we say. One of her favorite words is "perfect". I say it to her all the time. "No honey, let's wear that dress, it fits you perfectly", or "Perfect, that's how you do it "! So around our house this week, we have a new saying "I love you perfectly". Oh melt my heart! I love it. The picture below is one that Jessie took of me yesterday after preschool. She wanted to take a picture of me wearing the bracelet she made there. Thank you Jessie Kate, I love you PERFECLTY!

Our little Jessie Kate started preschool today! She was so excited and kept asking if it was time to go. I was so proud of her. As I was buckling her in to go she said, "you're being a good mom". I said, "I am?", and she said "yes, you're obeying". Too cute!

I want to be a Beach Volleyball Player. Actually, I just want to look that good in a skimpy swimming suit that rides up and I feel no pressure to re-adjust because I just look THAT good. Plus I want to run, jump and bounce around in that swimming suit with no reservations. A Gold medal, endorsements and TV time would be bonus! (Oh, and obviously I'll only be wearing the skimpy swim suit because it's required for the sport.)

Funny Memory

Occasionally we put a "pull up" on Jessica while she is sleeping if we couldn't get her to go to the bathroom before going to bed. One recent night as Trav and I were getting into bed, Trav told me that he had put a "pull up" on Jessie. So off to sleep we go. In the middle of the night Jessie comes in our room crying because she has peed. During her crying Reese woke up so I was taking care of her while Trav was handling Jessie. The next day our conversation went like this:

Me: "I'm so confused, I thought you put a pull up on Jessie before you came to bed. Why did she pee all over?"

Travis: "I know, I don't get it either. I put a pull up on her. It must have leaked out. (then the funny part) Does Nemo go on the front or the back"?

Me: (laughing), "Oh honey, you put a "swimmer" on her"!

Travis: "You can't put them in the same drawer"!

TOO FUNNY!! It puts a smile on my face every time I think about it! I love you babe!

This past weekend Trav took Jessie on the "Bow Hunt" (aka camping), while I stayed home with baby Reese. I missed them so much and was so happy to see their smiling faces when they got home. They fished on "Jessies boat", had campfires, played games and princesses. Jessica also found a way to play "dress up", you just keep changing your clothes ALL DAY LONG! Poor Trav, she's such a girl! While they were in Fish Lake Reese and I relaxed. We took naps, did laundry, and of course.... went shopping! I also did the ever dreaded "cry-out". Kills me every time and I feel like the worst mom in the world, especially because she's still so young. But, a rested mom sure is a happy mom!

I know nothing about makeup. I actually wish someone would turn me into one of those get help make-over shows!! But one thing I did find this summer, thanks to my little sis, is this wonderful eyeshadow primer. Funny thing is......I don't even wear eyeshadow. Again, could someone please turn me in? I actually love this because it doesn't make my eyeliner rub off onto my eyelids! A problem I've had forever. Am I the only one who has had this problem? Anyway, I used it in the summer on my awful pregnant self, in the heat and all that. So, if anyone needs a beauty secret like I do, give it a try. Better yet, if someone has a hint for me, I'm all ears!!! (p.s. I ordered it from Sephora).

Jack's Journey

We have some good friends that just had their first baby! Little Jackson Hardy was born Tuesday with Hyposplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare congenital heart defect affecting the left ventrical and aorta. What a courageous baby boy and family. We were able to go to Primary Childrens yesterday and see him. He looks so perfect! He and his parents have overwhelmed us with their strength and faith. They are truly witnessing a miracle! Jackson had open heart surgery today and everything went as well as can be expected but he still needs prayers. Please find room in your prayers for Jackson and his family.

Yesterday was the strangest day for our little Reese. Here she has been such an "easy" baby. Sleeping, eating and pooping like a champ. Yesterday she turned 5 weeks old and it's like a light came on and that poor girl would not sleep all day. She probably had 1 hour of sleep total the entire day. She ate fine, pooped fine, and not unusually fussy until it was time to put her to bed. She got so mad at us and cried her little heart out. I know she was so blasted tired. We finally got her to sleep and she did really well throughout the night. I'm just worried that she is all of a sudden going to turn on us for the worse. Has anyone else had this happen?

My sister Kim got married last week. She looked beautiful and we had a great day. They couldn't be happier.....unless they were me. Today is my eight year anniversary!!! Nothing like being in our 30's, living with mom and dad, down to one car and 2 kids. But seriously...I love my honey so much. Here are some of my favorite things about travis

1. He's so darn cute
2. He is the most patient person I know (unless it's a close Jazz game, or the Masters, or, well let's face it, anything that is competitive).
3. He plays so good with Jessica. He plays the parts she needs him to play. If he needs to be prince charming then he puts on his cape. If he needs to be a "worker at target", he can be that. You name, he's done it. we are a little worried about when she asks him to "kiss me hard". YIKES!
4. He loves me!
5. We can laugh about the dumbest things over and over and over again. I love to laugh.
6. He takes good care of our family. He kicks my butt and taking care of the kids when they're sick. He is patient and gentle. There's a reason Heaven sent us 2 girls. He's so good with them.
7. Did I mention he's darn cute?
8. He knows so much about the gospel and everything related to it. He could make stuff up and I'd believe him.
9. He'll watch John and Kate Plus Eight with me (if I ask him...nicely)
10. I don't think anybody looks better dressed up in a suit than my Trav!

Here we are. I am officially a "blogger". It's going to take some time for me to figure this out...please be patient.

We've had a crazy life so far this year. Here is a recap of what we've been up to.

1. We moved into my parents basement mid April. Currently looking for a new home.
2. Jessica had her first dance recital. We didn't know if she would actually "perform" on stage but she did great. She is our little dancer.
3. I totaled my car 2 weeks before I had a baby. Nobody was hurt! I was a little upset it didn't put me into labor. Oh well.
4. Not only are we looking for a new house but a new car as well.
5. My little sister is getting married this the 23rd of July. Jessica has been breaking in her wedding shoes. 6. We had girl #2 on June 25th. Reese Marie Johnson weighed in at 6 lbs. 10 oz. and 19 1/2 " long. So much smaller than her older sister. She has been such a good sweet baby and we love her to pieces. 7. I am loving my husband more every day. He is the best dad and husband. I don't know what I would do without him. 8. On the 4th of July, only a week after Reese was born, Jessica turned 3. What a princess we have...literally!

I have a darling family and we've been very lucky to have my parents put up with us. Hopefully it won't be for too much longer.
