Take it from a thumb-sucking mother (my son, not me). Make her stop now! Though it is cute and nice that they can pacify themselves, Ty's teeth are ruined. He started earlier though, I think he came out sucking. Maybe you still have a chance!
All I can do is start saving for orthodontic care, says the pediatrician.
Kaitlin sucked her thumb from about three months on and it was heaven sent. She slept through the night from then on. The good thing was that she only sucked it when she was tired and ready for bed or nap. When she turned two, I believe, I got some of that nail biting polish and put it on probably twice and she was done.
Yeah! Both my babies are thumb suckers. It is so cute. But... I have already started my orthodontic fund, cause if there is away to stop it... PLEASE let me know. I have tried it all!
Oh my goodness that is the cutest picture! Although I'm still dealing with a 3 year old finger sucker, even I have to admit baby's sucking thumbs are the darn cutest!
I just love that chunky face!! So of course I work in dental, so I just have to say... hopefullyt you can get to her break the habit, so not good for teeth!
Jill......hey! I came over to your blog from Travis & Louis'! What a cutie you have! I have a thumb sucking baby and I LOVE it! Landon sucked his too and he just quit at about 20 months. It is heavenly! She is sleeping through the night and can calm herself in any situation. I LOVE it! Come on over to our blog! Email me at jasonandtricia@hotmail.com and I'll add you guys!
K, and wasn't the Reba and Kelley concert awesome! Me and my sisters had a PARTY there! - Tricia
Take it from me, there is nothing wrong with thumb sucking (even if you do it until you're twelve!) Remember Jill? I turned out okay. And I was going to have to get braces anyway!
